I can't find any comparison charts or swatches with Scale 75 vs GW, Vallejo, P3 etc. I use Scale75 and P3 for most of my metallics these days. As the title says, my google fu has failed me. By I tend to mix colours and hence brands and you have cleared up the two brands that I will be mixing most often. As a "one coat painting solution" Contrast simply works better. Vallejo paints are widely considered to be the best paints. So like another user had mentioned, you probably would have had similar results to the Scale75 primer if you would have used the black Vallejo primer. Unlike Contrast colours and Citadel Shades (and inks like Game Color Inks), Instant Colors are not based on a dying agent, but on thinned acrylic pigments. The vallejo metal colour line is supposed to be exceptional in terms of metal acrylics. less cover. I have always thought that was the way it is with Scale75, and not worried about it. They are quite matte, and have some nice colors. Otherwise this brand is great. As with all Scale75 paints, you need to punch the dropper canal with a pointed tool before the paint can be released.
